  • Sealed until you open it. 50 mL in crimp-sealed medical glass. Rubber septum, flip-off aluminum cap.
  • Use it on its own, or with the device. A finished 50 mL ampoule. Apply it by hand like any serum. If you own the Tap Pen it is also matched to a depth on the dial, which is why the two were developed together.

    The issue

Your pores look bigger by the end of the day.

Not in a photograph. On your nose, in the bathroom mirror, at six in the evening.

01 Why a pore looks bigger

A pore has no muscle. It does not open and it does not shut, so nothing you apply makes it do either. It is the opening of a shaft, and oil collects in it.

    In section

    RESTING FILLED
    1. RestingFiber around the shaft holds the opening narrow
    2. FilledOil collects, the wall is pushed out, the fiber thins
A pore is the opening of a shaft, not a hole with a lid. Both follicles are drawn at the same scale so the difference in the two openings is the drawing's only claim. No diameter, count or rate is given, because re:tones has measured none of them.

    From above, and why

    NARROW WIDER
    1. NarrowLittle of the shaft is exposed to view
    2. WiderMore of it is, and the inside of a shaft is not lit
The same two openings from the surface, at the same relative widths, then the same two in section with the exposed part of the shaft shaded. Both shafts run to the same depth here. Only the area you can see into changes, and that is the shadow you are actually looking at.

How much niacinamide is in this vial

210,000 ppm on the manufacturer's composition sheet. Most labels print the ingredient and leave the number out. Most leave-on niacinamide sits in single digits. Going to 21 percent set the pH, the carrier and the preservation, all of it.

02 What we put in, and why that one

Niacinamide, 21 percent. A form of vitamin B3, and one of the most studied ingredients in skincare. On an ingredient statement its jobs are oil regulation and barrier support.

    Then the honest part

More is not automatically better. A high level of niacinamide makes some skin flush, and 21 percent is four times the usual ceiling. Patch test along your jaw for a few nights before you take it to your whole face. A concentration is a fact about what is sealed in the glass. It is not a promise about you.

Composition as declared by the manufacturer. A cosmetic product for external use only, not a drug, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Read the full laboratory record

The same person's nose and cheek after use, framed the same way. The pore openings across the cheek read smaller and the skin surface is more even.
Close macro of one person's nose and cheek before use. Pore openings are visible across the cheek and there are dark points along the side of the nose.

The two figures below are what is in the bottle. Neither of them measures these two photographs.1

    Niacinamide

    21%

210,000 ppm, the figure printed on the carton, confirmed against the manufacturer's ingredient statement.

    One vial

    50mL

Crimp-sealed medical glass, opened once. The format follows from the claim: this is dosed for skin that has just been opened.

    How this pair was made

    Photographic conditions

The interval between these two photographs is not recorded here, so we are not going to state one. Same person, same framing. Both frames got the identical crop and compression, neither was retouched. They were not shot under matched lighting, so some of the difference in sheen is the light.

    What this is

This is one person. Two photographs of one face are a case, not evidence. Skin varies, the interval is not recorded, and nothing here predicts what yours will do.

Tip figures are the PRO-5D Nano cartridge, one of the two tip types in the box. The other, PRO-R Nano, is 15 µm. Cross-section is arithmetic on two published diameters and is a property of the tip, not a measure of tissue, sensation or healing.

    The depth system

One dial. Three payloads. Three places to put them.

The whole line is arranged on a single axis. Choose the depth and the ampoule follows, because each one is formulated for the layer that setting reaches.

The axis is the device's real range, 0.5 to 1.5 mm. The skin layers beside it are drawn schematically for reading, not to anatomical scale, and depth needed varies between people.

    Every figure, sourced

What is actually in the vial.

The full composition, quoted from the manufacturer's statement rather than the carton. Concentrations, carriers, preservation and pH, in one place.

    re:vive-B3 · Niacinamide 210,000 ppm · 50 mL crimp-sealed medical glass

    The active

    Niacinamide

re:vive-B3Niacinamide, held with adenosine and rh-oligopeptide-1.

The active this vial is built around, at the level printed on the carton and on the manufacturer's composition sheet.

    Also in the vial

    1. Sodium Hyaluronate 4,000 ppm

The salt form of hyaluronic acid. Known for holding water in the upper layers, and it is what carries the water phase here.

      HydratesHolds

    2. Adenosine 400 ppm

A nucleoside used in cosmetic formulation. It has one defined working level rather than a range, and this is it. We build no claim on it here.

      Conditions

    3. rh-Oligopeptide-1 trace

A recombinant oligopeptide, included at trace. Listed because it is in the vial, not because a claim is built on it.

      Conditions

    4. Sodium DNA trace

A polynucleotide, at trace. It is in the vial.

      Conditions

    5. 1,2-Hexanediol · Caprylyl Glycol 5,900 ppm

The preservation system. A sterile single-fill vial needs less of it than a jar does.

      Preserves

Formulated at pH 6.0, a specification with a tolerance that every batch is measured against. Percentages come from the manufacturer's composition sheet for this ampoule. Molecules are drawn to the real skeleton of each ingredient and are illustrations, not structural formulae. Ingredient functions are those the composition sheet assigns; nothing here is a claim about a result.

    Fill and format

    1. 100ppm

      Fragrance

The only one of the three with added fragrance

Fragrance and linalool together come to 100 ppm here. 02 Brightening and 03 Wrinkle carry none at all. If you avoid added scent, that is the line to read before you pick an ampoule.

    Full ingredient list

Water, Niacinamide, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Fragrance, Linalool, rh-Oligopeptide-1, Sodium DNA

    Getting it out

    The seal is never broken.

The crimp stays on. The dropper pushes through a rubber seal in the middle of the cap and draws a dose. The cap itself never comes off.

The re:tones plastic syringe, which passes through the vial's rubber septum to draw a dose
    1. 01
      The cap stays on

An aluminum crimp with a rubber septum under it. It is not a lid and it does not come off in normal use.

    2. 02
      The dropper passes through

The blunt plastic tip goes through the septum and the rubber closes behind it. Nothing else goes in with it.

    3. 03
      Air and fingers stay out

A pump pulls room air back in on every press. A bottle you unscrew meets your hands. This one meets neither.

    4. 04
      If the seal resists

We made it tough on purpose, for hygiene. If the syringe will not pass, pierce the rubber at the opening with something sharp.

Each ampoule ships with a 1 mL syringe. The dropper goes through the rubber seal in the cap. The cap never comes off, so the liquid never meets the air.

    Loading it

From the vial into the cartridge.

The applicator ships in the box with the vial. Three moves, and the cartridge is loaded.

    1. Two hands pulling the gray protective cover off the tip of the re:tones ampoule applicator

      Take the cover off.

Pull the gray cover straight off the tip. Hold the barrel, not the plunger.

    2. The applicator tip pressed through the rubber seal at the center of the vial's aluminum crimp cap

Push it through the seal, then draw.

Press the tip against the rubber seal in the middle of the cap until it goes through. Then pull the plunger back and draw the ampoule up into the barrel. The seal is tough on purpose, for hygiene. If the syringe will not make a hole, pierce it first with something sharp.

    3. The filled applicator being pushed into the clear re:tones cartridge

      Seat it in the cartridge.

Push the filled applicator into the clear cartridge until it seats. That is the part that goes on the device.

The applicator draws from the vial and fills the cartridge. Nothing here is injected. You are putting this on skin that has just been opened, which is the reason the cap is crimped rather than screwed. How the seal works

    Provenance

You can check every line of this.

Most brands ask you to take the quality on trust. These are the things you can hold up to the light instead.

    • Made Researched, engineered and filled in South Korea. The device and the ampoules were developed together, not sourced separately.
    • Printed on your carton Batch number and period-after-opening, on every single one.
    • Published Every formulation figure comes from the manufacturer's ingredient statement and is printed as written, including the unremarkable ones.
    • Sold Direct from re-tones.com only. Not on marketplaces, not through resellers. If you did not buy it here, we cannot tell you what is in it.

If any line here stops being true we take it down rather than rewording it.

    Before you buy.

The questions we actually get, answered without a sales pitch.

Not your question? Write to us at support@re-tones.com

Do I need the device, or does this work on its own?

It works on its own the way any serum does, which is the problem this brand exists to talk about. The formula was built for a barrier that has just been opened, so the device is what it was designed around. You can buy either first.

Is it cheaper to buy it with the device?

Yes. Put both in the cart and 10% comes off the ampoule automatically. Nothing to type at checkout.

How long does one vial last?

That depends on how much you use and how often, so we are not going to give you a number we cannot stand behind. It is 50 mL, which is large for an ampoule, and the recommended cadence with the device is once a week.

Is it safe to use this concentration at home?

It is a cosmetic product formulated for home use, not a professional-only formula. Patch test on a small area first, and if your skin reacts to something, stop using it. Nothing here treats a medical condition.

Can I use it with my other actives?

Leave retinoids and exfoliating acids out of the same session. Give the skin the night, and go back to your normal routine after.

What if it does not suit me?

Thirty days, unopened. If it arrives faulty we pay the return shipping.

      My pores literally disappeared

I've tried every pore-minimizing product on the market and nothing came close to this. The 21% niacinamide concentration is no joke. After 2 weeks my nose and cheek pores look SO much smaller. I use it with the MTS device and the results are honestly unreal. My skin got so clear I stopped using foundation entirely.

    • niacinamide_nerd

21% niacinamide and it actually works

As a skincare ingredient nerd I was thrilled to see the actual concentration listed. Most brands hide behind proprietary blends. This is 21% niacinamide — four times the usual max — and you can FEEL the quality. My pores tightened up within the first week. The sealed vial system keeps it fresh which matters a lot at this concentration.

    • JessLee

      Bye bye strawberry nose

My nose pores have always been my biggest insecurity. I've been using this for a month and they are visibly smaller. The texture of my skin is so smooth now. Was surprised how fast it worked honestly. Will definitely repurchase.

    • Tyler_M

      Good stuff

Noticed my pores looking tighter after about 3 weeks. Skin feels smoother overall. The syringe applicator is a bit fiddly at first but you get used to it. Solid product.

    • KBeautyKate

      K-beauty done right

I trust Korean skincare formulations and this one delivers. The glass vial packaging is pharmacy-grade and the ingredient transparency is refreshing — every single concentration is listed. My pores are noticeably smaller, especially on my T-zone. I pair it with the MTS device once a week and use it as a regular serum on other days. My skin has never been this clear. Genuinely surprised by how effective it is.

    • poreless_patty

      Skin of my dreams

My skin got so clear after just 3 weeks I almost cried. Pores on my cheeks are barely visible now. This is hands down the best skincare purchase I've ever made.

    • minimalist.mike

      Simple and effective

I don't do complicated routines. Cleanser, this, moisturizer. That's it. And my skin looks better than when I was using 10 products. Pores are tighter, less oily throughout the day, skin tone is more even. The high niacinamide really does the job.

    • SkinScienceSara

The concentration makes all the difference

I've used 5% and 10% niacinamide serums before with okay results. This 21% formula is on another level. The medical glass vial with the syringe extraction keeps the formula stable — no oxidation. After 6 weeks my pores are dramatically smaller and my skin texture is incredibly smooth. I was surprised it didn't irritate my sensitive skin at all. The pH 6.0 is well-formulated.

    • dani.xo

      Obsessed doesn't even cover it

My pores!! They're so tiny now!! I use this every night and the change in my skin is insane. Clear, smooth, glowy. Everyone asks what I'm using. 10/10 forever repurchasing.

    • ChrisP_DC

      Impressed

Not usually a skincare guy but my girlfriend got me this. After a month my nose pores are way less visible and my skin is less oily. Clean and straightforward product. Would buy again.

    • AestheticAlly

Better than my $300 clinic treatments

I used to get professional pore treatments every 6 weeks at $300 a pop. This $39 vial has given me better results from my bathroom. The sealed vial system is genius — you know the formula hasn't degraded. My skin got so clear my aesthetician asked what I was using. The niacinamide concentration is clinical-grade without needing a prescription.

    • emilyy.skin

      Cannot recommend enough

Huge pores on my cheeks my whole life. Tried everything. This ACTUALLY works. After a month they look like they belong to a different person. Clear, smooth, refined skin. I was so surprised. Using it with the MTS device takes it to another level but even on its own it's incredible.
